What is Women's Health Research?

Women's health research is the study of a woman's health across her lifetime, from birth to death. It comprises any diseases or disorders for which women and men have different responses. Therefore, women’s health goes beyond gynecological health to include all diseases that affect women. Women's health study takes into account both sex and gender variations as well as how they affect illness risk, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, and therapy. Our goal is to preserve the health and wellness of all girls and women.

What is the Importance of Women's Health Research?

Women's health research is necessary to increase knowledge regarding treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of diseases or conditions. Such knowledge is required to eradicate or mitigate disease, reduce the economic cost of illness, extend life, and improve overall health and well-being. Women's health research contributes to the development of new medical treatments for all women's issues, including but not limited to pregnancy and menopause. Overall, this research is aimed at improving the quality of life for women and is fundamental to lower morbidity and mortality among women.

Why does Rofaida Women's Health Organization Care?

Rofaida continuously encourages and promotes women’s health research that provides accurate and current information to society. The idea behind Rofaida’s Research Page project is to provide easy access to research in the field of women’s health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by making the latest research and resources available on one searchable web page.
